ESCALON — November 2, 2026. Escalon’s utility office manages four categories of local service through a single municipal customer-service point: water, sewer, garbage and green waste.
Starting or stopping service
The city’s instructions direct new residents to City Hall at 2060 McHenry Avenue. Staff can explain proof of identification, application forms, deposits and account responsibility for an individual address.
What if water or sewer fails after hours
The city’s utility page directs urgent water and sewer emergencies outside office hours to Police Department dispatch at 209-691-7300, which can reach Public Works staff. The department warns that this number is intended for emergencies, not routine billing.
Bill questions
Residents can call the city’s utility service team at 209-691-7423. A standard service setup does not mean every account has identical rates or outstanding balances; verify bills with the municipal billing staff.
